ECE Website Development

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • The project began when Dr. Eyad Talal Attar a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering submitted several suggestions to the head of the department and one of the suggestions was upgrading the department website which not only aligns with the department's ambitions but also positions it to compete with both local and international universities.

  • His Excellency, Dr. Sami Al-Ghamdi, the Head of the Department, recognized the significance of this endeavor and assigned Dr. Eyad with the task of not only developing the department's website but also upgrading the College of Engineering's website. This directive came in response to a request from His Excellency, the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Majdi Al-Nowami.

  • To expedite the development process and Dr. Majdi's support Dr. Eyad collaborated with Mr. Moaz from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, who generously provided some technical support to start. Especially according to the university regulations, the design must be approved and then uploaded to the KAU website.

  • The development journey involved extensive collaboration between Dr. Eyad Attar and Engr. Turky Abdulaziz from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

  • Progress occurred in stages, commencing with the College of Engineering website and subsequently extending to the Department's website.

  • The project was initiated on August 1st, 2023 AD and was completed on March 3rd, 2024 AD. The project is now awaiting final touches from other departments for a website upgrade and integration with the College of Engineering website.

  • The academic units and names have been arranged alphabetically.

  • The design and contents of the websites were personally done by Dr. Eyad, and there may be some errors. To address this, a feedback and evaluation form is provided.

    ( Feedback Form )
  • While the team aimed to align the website with international standards, they faced certain organizational and technical constraints and one of the challenges was the limited template designs accepted by the university website.

  • The entire project was a voluntary commitment.

  • With hope and dedication, we aspire that the new website will meet your expectations and serve as a valuable resource for the engineering community.

  • The information has been posted on our website for future reference and improvements.
