Three students from the Faculty of Engineering, have won the best poster award at the Saudi Arabia Smart Grid Conference (SASG) 2016

Three students from the Department of Electrical and Computer engineering, Faculty of Engineering, KAU have won the best poster award at the Saudi Arabia Smart Grid Conference (SASG) 2016.  The student are: Majed khuja., Raed Alfaifi., Mohammed Alghamdi.

The poster was the design and implementation of a smart electricity outlet. A novel smart system allows automatic control of the current supply to the load. One application of such a system is on the mobile phone charger. Once the phone is fully charged the current stops flowing to the battery.

The system has the following advantages: Save energy, enhance performance and safety.
